Raheen Community Centre is located just outside of the town centre, and is home to numerous community groups and clubs, including Athenry Music School, Rainbow Academy, Athenry Swans Hockey, Gliondar Arts Group, Athenry Drama Club, and St. Mary’s GAA.
The community centre has pitches, locker rooms, and meeting rooms. In 2025, the centre was renovated with new roof and windows through the Community Centres Investment Fund.
The Community Council leases spaces to community and service groups at the lowest possible cost in order to support voluntary groups in Athenry. Raheen Community Centre is available for hire for local community groups, businesses, and private events.
Rent Raheen
Meeting rooms at Raheen are available for rent. Rental pricing includes access to Wi-Fi, full toilet facilities, heating, and electricity.
Storage lockers may also be available for long-term bookings—please enquire with the Athenry Development Committee (ADC) for details.
